Another successful Guardian Angel Gala has come and gone. This year was our best yet, with a gross amount of $160,000 raised for the Quinte Children’s Foundation. The contemporary Asian themed evening started with a champagne reception as guests appreciated the decor complete with paper lanterns, orchids and beautifully set tables orchestrated by Liz Hicks and her committee.  The delicious dinner with a slightly Asian flair was once again provided by the Banquet Centre.  Boyd Sullivan kept the attendees entertained throughout the live auction and the evening was rounded off with dancing to the music of the Maureen Brown Band.  Our Guardian Angel, Peter Knutson spoke passionately about his selfless contributions to the children of our community.  As out going chair I would like to thank everyone on all of the committees for helping to make the last 2 years so rewarding and successful. Thank you also to all sponsors, contributors of donations, committee members and volunteers. The names are too numerous to mention but I thank you all on behalf of the those children in our community who depend on the generosity of people like you.
