Pictures of Belleville

During the Belleville Festival of Trees Dinner and Auction 2004, I had the opportunity to bid on a great package which included a Balloon ride of the Belleville and Quinte area during the Waterfront Festival in July.

Well, all I can say is this truly is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Seeing Belleville and Prince Edward County from the air was an amazing experience and I am so pleased I am able to share at least some of what I saw with you!

The photos below were taken while we floated between 100 and 400 feet above Belleville, Ontario.

Here you can see East Zwick’s Island and the mouth of the Moira River
along with one of the many marinas Quinte has for recreational boating.

What a great view looking East down the Bay of Quinte from
Belleville, Ontario! You can see Meyer’s Pier another marina in Belleville.

Here you can see one of our main landmarks,
the Belleville City Hall as we look North up the Moira River.

Another view looking east down the beautiful Bay of Quinte.

This bridge connects Belleville with Prince Edward County to the South.
The park below is East Zwick’s Island.

This shot shows Victoria Park Marina and all of Zwick’s Island, both East and West.
This picture is looking west over Belleville along the Bay of Quinte towards CFB Trenton and Quinte West.

Here we can see Meyer’s Pier and the Bay Bridge stretching over the
Bay of Quinte to Prince Edward County.

This view shows the east side of Belleville and into the country.

The rest of the photos are random shots as we floated thorugh the sky, I hope you enjoy them!

This is a great aerial view of CFB Trento. Click on the image for a larger version!
